How company paydays are worked out

Method

Every company page shows real dates. Where the company has not published its schedule, the dates are inferred by these rules and labelled Inferred.

  1. 1Evidence first

A company's own pages and SEC filings make a schedule Official. Posts by employees (Blind, Reddit and similar) that state it make it Employee-reported, and each accepted report adds to its confidence.

  2. 2Frequency

Where no source states it: biweekly. Large US tech employers overwhelmingly pay every two weeks, and a biweekly payroll meets the minimum frequency in every state the Department of Labor table lists.

  3. 3Day

The stated weekday or dates where known. Otherwise Friday for weekly and biweekly pay, and the 15th and last day for semi-monthly pay.

  4. 4Biweekly cycle

Anchored on any reported or filed payday. With none, cycle A (the Friday cycle of January 2, 2026). Every inferred company page has a switch for readers paid the other week.

  5. 5Weekends and holidays

A payday on a weekend or a Federal Reserve holiday is paid the business day before, as on every calendar on this site.

  6. 6Labels

Every company carries its tier (Official, Employee-reported or Inferred), a one-line reason, and a four-bar confidence meter. An inferred schedule is a planning estimate, not a fact about the company.

A few times a year: official pay calendar changes and next year's calendars, the day they post.
