On the 15th and last day schedule, 8 of the 24 paydays fall on a weekend or bank holiday and move to the business day before. On the 1st and 15th schedule the year line moves: Friday, January 1, 2027 is paid Thursday, December 31, 2026, and Saturday, January 1, 2028 is paid Friday, December 31, 2027, so 2027 has 24 paydays on that schedule.
